My Sage Green Christmas Tree

You have probably already taken a peek at my Christmas tree this year if you follow me on Instagram. I shared it last week as a collaboration post with a retailer but I wanted my tree to live here on the blog as well. I updated the tree and added a few more ornaments that I collected here and there.

Keeping things "on brand" I stuck with the color scheme of sage green, moss green, white and grey which compliments the decor going on in the living room. I love how easy it is to live with holiday decor when it feels like it belongs in the home.

I usually keep decor monochromatic and really let the textures of things be the star of the show. I love contrast in textures like fluffy next to smooth and dull next to shiny. This is most definitely apparent in our Christmas tree. The long white, fluffy branches stand out with the gnarly brown branches and dried eucalyptus, the mix of matte balls and shiny balls and how the warm lights reflect on the nap of the  cool toned velvet ribbon just makes everything looks scrumptious to my eyes πŸ‘€ 😍

The ornaments were purchased from 4 different stores: Home Goods, Big Lots, At Home and Balsam Hill. The beautiful tree is from Big Lots, believe it or not. I wasn't in the market for a new Christmas tree but I fell in love with this 7.5 foot prelit and flocked tree. I liked it because the extra long flocked needles that droop down gave it an unusual look that i hadn't really seen before.

If you're looking to create a Christmas tree with the same color scheme of sage green, grey and white, then I do recommend checking out then places I mentioned above.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the few pictures I took of our Christmas tree. I look forward to sharing the rest of our home soon!
