Most of us tend to ignore our fireplaces during the summer months but even when our mantels are left bare, our fireplaces are still (usually) a major focal point in a space so a fireplace needs love all year long. Now that I think about it, we have way more guests coming to visit us during the summer months versus the holiday season when our mantels are fully decked out in holiday cheer. We have so many birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, and weddings every summer that we actually have to set aside a budget for the months of June through August! It definitely makes sense to spruce up our living room fireplace mantel during the time where we have the most guests visiting us.
I started to look at Target.com to see what was new for their summer decor. I was happy to see that they had some really good options for faux greenery and flower stems. I came across some faux citrus stems and they really caught my eye. I decided that would be my inspiration and just started to build from there. I also noticed that Target had a new art collection made by actual artists. I scoped them out and fell in love with a framed canvas print of an orange poppy by artist and designer, Oris Eddu.
I ended up finding EVERYTHING I needed to create my summer mantel online at Target.com. I got the flowers, the art, all the vases , a matching wreath for the front door and even a scented candle to carry my citrus-y summer theme that is now happening in my home 🍊. So very California, am I right!? I love how easy it was to create a story with all the Target products since everything went so well together.
The value of everything I ordered is great. The prices are just right so it didn't hurt my summer budget and the quality of every item was 👌. The faux flowers and citrus stems look so good! It's really hard to find faux stems that are good-looking and especially affordable ones.
