Decorating the Guest Bedroom in Red, White and Grey for the Holidays

Thank you, Garnet Hill for gifting me this cozy flannel bedding! I greatly appreciate it!

Almost every room in Casita Bravo gets at least a little touch of the holidays and especially the bedrooms. There's definitely a special feeling that I get when I walk around my home and see a little holiday magic happening in each of the rooms.  Growing up, we never decorated our bedrooms for Christmas. We had our Christmas tree in the living room and a Christmas village that my Mom would create every year on a console table. Having more than that wasn't necessary to feel the holiday spirit and even now it isn't necessary but because my love for decorating interiors runs deep, I get a lot of happiness from spreading the holiday cheer throughout out our entire home!

My son's room that also doubles as a guest bedroom for our out of town guests got a cheerful dose of traditional red this Christmas. Red is one of the colors that I tend to work with the least as it can be very intense. I decided to go for it anyway because of the candy cane bedding that I spotted from Garnet Hill. It's just so classic, so festive and my son really loved it so I was sold. I ended up ordering the sheet set, duvet cover and red throw blanket along with some coordinating accessories. I combined the Candy Cane bedding with the existing grey coverlet and pillows (also from Garnet Hill) to tone down the red just a little and the color combination worked very well.

We've had Garnet Hill bedding in the past and always love it. This time was no exception! The flannel bedding feels like you're curling up in some soft flannel pajamas. I absolutely love how cozy this bedding is. If you're interested in checking out any of the items then just click on the links below.
