I don't thrift as much as I used to but I still have a passion for finding a beautiful item at a great price. Instead of driving around town going from one thrift store to another I find myself instead frequently looking through Craigslist ads, Facebook marketplace and my favorite secondhand shopping app on my phone: OFFERUP. If you don't have the app on your phone, you are missing out on some good deals. Through the Offerup app you can either scroll through the latest items for sale or search for something specific. What I especially love about the Offerup app is that you can search items based on your location so you never have to drive a long distance to get an item if you don't want to. Another great thing about Offerup is that you can message sellers and buyers straight through the app so you never have to give your phone number away.


The key to finding great deals on cool stuff is to visit these sites or apps daily. Make it a habit of just scrolling through items to see if you find something good. That's what happened to me last week when I found an awesome desk on Offerup for only $70 bucks! I needed some workspace in the living room and when I saw the classic lines and dark stain on this wood beauty I knew I had to have it! It's not a vintage piece or anything but I am definitely a fan of the writing desk's classic classic lines.

If you follow me on Instagram then you probably saw on my Insta-Stories the day I went to go pick it up. So many of you wanted to see the desk all styled up so here it is! I didn't go crazy, I just brought in a couple of decorative items and some fresh flowers. I still would like to add some cool desk accessories in the near future.
