Hey! Thanks for stopping by my blog! If you are coming from my friend Jennifer's blog at Decor Gold Designs, I welcome you!
SO... first, I kind of can't believe we are already talking fall. I swear, I feel like I just shared my SUMMER TOUR! But, I'm ready! Especially since the weather in my hometown of San Diego, California has been a bit cooler than usual during this time of year (nights have been a chilly 65 degrees) ;)
Anyway, welcome to my fall home tour! I am sharing my updated fall look in my living room for the "Harvest Haven Fall Tour" hosted by Summer from "She Leaves a Little Sparkle". In case you aren't sure what this whole fall tour thing is, let me explain a bit what a home tour is. Blogger home tours are bloggers getting together to share their homes decked out for the new season. The group of bloggers link each other up which means that readers get TONS of ideas from different decor styles! And not only that -readers get to see inside many different homes and we all know how much fun that is! So after you finish my tour, you can go to the next blog to see how they incorporated fall into their home!
At the end of my tour I'm sharing links to all the bloggers that are participating in the "Harvest Haven Fall Tour 2016" for your viewing pleasure :)
Let's get started here, in my living room.
I am a lover of incorporating nature in my home. Autumn is no exception. To bring a reminder of this season of harvest, I switched my green plants for grasses and dried wheat. I really love the texture that these grasses bring to the space.
I picked up the ornamental grasses in the garden section of Lowes Home Improvement. I threw them in a bowl, added some filler and called it a day. The wheat on the mantel is from Home Goods.
The coming of Autumn also means it's time to bring out the warm and fuzzy textures! I layered furry pillows and blankets that will keep us warm in the cooler months.
I pulled the golden color from the straws of wheat and incorporated it in the pillow and baskets.
And there you have it! By simply changing my pillows and accessories I was able to bring warmth and texture for fall. Let me know what you all think by leaving a comment! Thanks again for stopping by! If you love simple and cost-effective ideas for home decor, then sign up for my newsletter!
