Levant Drive Project

I finished! Loving how my clients open floor plan just flows together. Inspired by some beautiful blue & white plates she owned; I took that color pallete and ran with it! I had been waiting to work with navy for a while and this was a perfect opportunity.

Before, her furniture seemed to big for the space and there was no balance. I reconfigured the furniture layout to provide better sight lines and to create a more balanced floorplan.

AND added lots of accessories to pull everything together. I am so happy I was able to use all existing furniture. Phew!! I really thought we were not going to be able to use this furniture my client had just purchased before I came in to the picture.

After! WHAT A DIFFERENCE !

One of my favorite things in this room was this awesome side table that I found at Home Goods.
TIP: Don't be afraid to angle your furniture! Think outside the "BOX". Here I angled both pieces to not close up the space and I outlined the area with a beautiful rug from Target. Now just imagine the space without the rug. The space wouldn't look as good. The area rug creates a sort of "frame" to anchor the space and ground the furniture. If there was no rug, the furniture would look like I just moved them to sweep, or something.

BTW, this rug from Target is an outdoor rug! Its soft to the touch and very durable. And super affordable!

Mixing patterns but keeping a monochromatic color scheme keeps things in check.

Thank you for visiting! I love reading all your kind comments! I had fun with this space and I hope maybe you got some tips or inspiration to make your house feel more like a home. You deserve to come home and relax in a home that you love to be in.
